Bruhn NewTech is primarily a software development company that provides CBRN Incident Management applications. However, over time and with the demand from users, we have looked at how to utilise the monitoring and warning capabilities that can be provided by sensors. To this end, we have extended our product portfolio to include the hardware that is needed to connect multiple sensors or instruments together depending on the user requirement platform.
The hardware can come as one complete component or can be broken down depending on the system and solution requirements. Bruhn NewTech employs external subject matter experts in data communication solutions and Battery Management Systems (BMS) to ensure that the End User benefits from the best possible fit to their demands.
HazKey® is a combination of hardware and software, which delivers a complete turn-key solution for the purpose of sensor integration, data fusion and mobile communications with associated software providing increased levels of situational awareness.
The Monitoring Control Unit (MCU) is one component within the default configuration setup of the HazKey® System. The MCU can be detached from the HazKey® System and used separately on a variety of platforms for multiple solutions including CBRNe Sensor Monitoring and Data Management.
The MCU has been designed, built and tested to DEFSTAN 00-35, DEFSTAN 59-411 and MILSTD-810G.
Formal training on Bruhn NewTech’s software products and Hardware solutions is strongly recommended. A lack of detailed understanding of the software and regular structured training results in significant operator skill fade.
Training courses are delivered by personnel with extensive knowledge and can be held at a customer site or at the NATO school.
We strive to make innovative solutions to problems our customers may face when dealing with any potential CBRN threat. Reducing a HazKey® system down to a backpack size for covert monitoring of chemical and radiological threats, including having the ability to track weather and the position of the backpack, via a handheld device, is an area of interest to some of our clients.
