SCIM®
Sensor Connectivity Information Management
SCIM® is a vendor-independent software hub that connects multiple sensor types and brands within a single operational interface. It collects, decodes and monitors sensor data, provides sensor control and transforms collected information into standard CBRN messaging for dissemination and integration with CBRN management systems.

Key Capabilities
Vendor-independent sensor connectivity
Connect sensors from different manufacturers through a single system. More than 50 sensors have already been interfaced, with additional sensors integrated on request.
Sensor monitoring & control
Monitor the current status of connected sensors, analyse incoming data and remotely control functions including online status, operating modes and settings.
CBRN data & messaging
Collect and decode sensor data and format it into standard CBRN messaging for further dissemination through built-in communication applications.

Alarming & notifications
Automatically notify operators when alarms occur and submit alarms and reports directly to connected CBRN management software.
Logging & data archiving
Continuously store sensor log events and archive operational data, providing a persistent record of sensor activity and information.
Sensor simulation & training
Simulate sensor outputs, alarms and fault readings to support realistic operator training without requiring physical sensor events or live hazards.
In the field
On a warship at sea, or in a reconnaissance vehicle moving through contaminated ground, the sensors on board rarely come from one manufacturer. Crews select the mix that fits the mission — chemical, radiological, biological, meteorological — and then have to make sense of them together, under time pressure, from a single position. SCIM® is the layer that makes that possible: one interface to monitor every connected sensor, control it remotely, and turn what it detects into standard CBRN messages that flow onward to command. It is in operational use today with European naval forces and on reconnaissance platforms across NATO nations.
